Then fix your car or take theirs and drive on. Simply shoot them as they are getting out of the door. Once you are round fifty metres away from the checkpoint, exit the car (Do not get in the turret) and you will find two men have followed you in a car. Their bullets will cause your car to start hissing. Here's how:ġ) regenerating checkpoints: simply drive through them and run over as many as you can. I am able to play it on hardcore and very very rarely die. Most people hated it because they found it too hard, but the things which are difficult about it can be worked around quite easily. You should try it because it is still my favourite fps of all time, except possibly Halo. I do think there's a good game somewhere in Primal, and I really feel like the Far Cry trappings are what drag everything down.Įdit: I'd like to add that throwing bee bombs at people is the best. I find myself in a weird place after about 20 hours with this game: I'm desperate for Ubisoft to shake up their annual franchises, and Primal feels something like just such an attempt-but it does so in the most safe/derivative way possible, and I'm just not convinced it's successful. I don't feel like i'm making meaningful decisions and the progression system basically breaks the game's difficulty, which in turn makes further progression feel unnecessary (last I checked, I had six unused skill points). After those first few hours and unlocking more ammo/equipment, the game loses its sense of danger/challenge and I've mostly lost interesting in continuing.Īt once it feels like Primal wants to be ARK/Rust with hunting/taming/resource gathering the gameplay loop certainly feels similar for sure, but lacks those other games' sense of consequence and achievement. The world felt dangerous, gathering felt crucial and I enjoyed building up the base camp. I've had some great moments early on in the game.
